Today I spent the evening doing my first homework for an online sketching course I’ve just joined, and ended up sleeping very late.
Today Harriet had been crying for ages in the night again! Don't know what's with her. Owen on the other hand had been very happy and trying extra hard to be good. In the evening, Harriet and Owen played together, it's nice to see them get along so well.
Today I took Owen on a bus trip to Oxford while Peter stayed home with Harriet. Owen was super excited (mostly about being on a bus) and was very good all day though we only went to a bookshop. I didn’t sketch this evening as I was busy panic shopping when I realised it was Owen’s birthday this weekend.
Today I drove and took Owen out to soft play by myself while Harriet napped at home with Peter looking after her. Owen was very good playing by himself and I even got to do some people sketching.
Today Harriet woke up in the night with a big poop, so again, I didn't get to sleep well. Peter took the children to kids runaround, and I stayed home to bake a pandan chiffon cake. Successful this time!
Today Harriet kept crying in the night and so I didn't get to go to bed until 4:30am! Was exhausted the next day.
Today Harriet slept through the night, and we all woke early. I was actually not late for work, and the children at nursery by 9:15am. What a perfect day!
Today I did a sketch of our office at lunch time and then spent the entire evening working on it with pen and watercolour. I need to work faster.
Today I spent the evening looking at other people's drawings in instagram etc, and found yet another new love, Tom Haugomat. Just so inspiring to see so many different and beautiful art around.
Today I drove the kids to Hilltop soft play to meet up with friends. During dinner time Harriet had a melt down, so the terrible twos has begun and she's only just turned one.
Today Harriet (and I) woke up at 11am! (Though we did wake up several times in the night.) In the afternoon we went to Banbury Hill Farm where I got to do some 'urban sketching' while Peter took the children to see the farm animals. Apparently Harriet loved the chickens.
Today we had a lovely Easter with Daisy, and even cooked a lamb leg for our Easter lunch. We had a mini egg hunt for Owen and then we all ate a lot of chocolate and sweets (my egg was a nougat egg). In the evening, we watched Guardians of the Galaxy on the projector.
Today we went to Witney to do some shopping. Harriet was poorly and very grumpy. Later, Daisy came to stay with us for the weekend and we had a satisfying grownup chat about art materials in the evening when the children had gone to bed.
Today Harriet woke up in the night and then slept until 10:30am. I did some cryptic crossword before sleep again, and must have improved because it no longer made me angry.
Today the children all woke up super late, at nearly 10am! I woke up much earlier as I had to work. Last night, Peter and I went through some cryptic crossword before sleep in order to 'train' me, and it gave me a bit of insomnia.
Today I had fun sketching my colleagues during lunch break. I also made a new challenge for myself to learn to do cryptic crossword so I can gain their respect and show off to others.
Today Harriet woke up 3 times in the night again and napped for very long so we didn’t go out.
Today I had migraine all day and only got out of bed in time to put the children to bed.
Today I was grumpy all day from being too tired from Harriet not sleeping well. She's been fussy and not eating maybe from being ill. And Owen was being difficult too, so he got a lot of scoldings from both Peter and I today.
Today I drove and took Owen to Witney to watch Tad The Explorer And The Secret Of King Midas at the cinema. It was the first time I drove to Witney without Peter. Luckily carpark was quite empty so I got an easy space. It was nice to be out with just Owen, and he was very well behaved and understanding of my nervousness.
