I'm working hard on it offline, and it will be uploaded soon. It's so empty and ugly at the moment because I accidentally deleted the entire codebase and database a year ago. It'll be shiny soon, I promise. x Victoria

My sister gave me some sarong fabric for my birthday, and I've made a dress from it, following the pattern from the Japanese sewing book, Stylish Dress Book (vol 1), Dress E.

  • Thursday, 4th February
Owen cried and screamed all the way from home to nursery. He's reached the age where demanded freedom and independence. To be fair, he has demonstrated that he could spot Wally in Where's Wally quicker than I could. So maybe we should give him what he wants. PS: He was sent home from nursery for having fever, though I couldn't detect any.
  • Wednesday, 3rd February
Owen was super fussy about everything, and didn't go to bed till very late and without his pajamas too (he refused to have his toes hidden). Hope he won't get up in the night and won't be too cold.
  • Tuesday, 2nd February
we were bad parents who quarrelled loudly in front of our poor child. In the afternoon I went to Reading for an interview for my first British passport. Yet more forms and red tape. When will they trust me?
  • Monday, 1st February
Owen was very wet and clingy, maybe due to teething problems.
  • Sunday, 31st January
Owen annoyed us by refusing to get into his waterproof gear, so he wasn't allowed to go to the muddy playground. In the afternoon, I tidied up his boxes of toys. In the evening we watched more War & Peace.

I guess it's expected of James Cameron to be formulaic in such a Hollywood blockbuster way. It is a Hollywood blockbuster... what was I thinking?

感じ (also kanji): feeling; sensation

I'm learning Japanese and this is where I experiment with stream-of-consiousness style essays inspired by the 漢字 that I am learning.

Here are some of the 漢字:
