I'm working hard on it offline, and it will be uploaded soon. It's so empty and ugly at the moment because I accidentally deleted the entire codebase and database a year ago. It'll be shiny soon, I promise. x Victoria

My sister gave me some sarong fabric for my birthday, and I've made a dress from it, following the pattern from the Japanese sewing book, Stylish Dress Book (vol 1), Dress E.

in Today...

  • Yesterday
I got upset over some mundane slip-up, and Owen gave me a big smile and said, `don't worry mama`, and offered me one of his currants. He also initiated playing hide and seek for the first time (going to the kitchen and started counting while we hid in the living room), I didn't even know he knew the game. Growing up so quickly!
  • Monday, 26th September
I had a migraine in the morning, so didn't take Owen to the toddler group. But he was a good boy playing by himself at home. In the evening, we converted his cot into a bed. Such a big boy now.
  • Sunday, 25th September
grandparents came to visit Owen and we went to Witney for lunch and shopping. Owen had a great time!
  • Saturday, 24th September
we finally took Owen to 'take the train to the next station to go to the museum to see T.rex', as he'd been talking about that for weeks. He had a great time in Oxford, and had been a really good boy.
  • Friday, 23rd September
Owen finally understood bargaining and trading. We persuaded him to eat a spoonful of chicken to get a piece of mango in return. And thus he finished his dinner.

I guess it's expected of James Cameron to be formulaic in such a Hollywood blockbuster way. It is a Hollywood blockbuster... what was I thinking?

漢字 (kanji): a Chinese character
感じ (also kanji): feeling; sensation

I'm learning Japanese and this is where I experiment with stream-of-consiousness style essays inspired by the 漢字 that I am learning.

Here are some of the 漢字:
