What I meant:
I am the youngest child in my family. When I was a child, I used to hate playing checkers with my sister. She is older than me, and so she always beat me. Because I hated losing, I stopped playing checkers. Today, I am still horrible at checkers.
Recently, I watched the Japanese Drama, Honey & Clover. In the show, when Morita realises that he has lost to Hagumi, he doesn't get angry. Instead, he is motivated to work harder. Hagumi too, is inspired by his rivalry.
I want to be like that.

Don't forget Touya being defeated by Hikaru.
Yea. But then he became quite obsessive in a creepy way.
