Nuwa Shadowdancer

I think Nuwa is probably the most interesting character I have created. She was incredibly difficult to play though. Because she was so sexy, she got lots of male attention, and I quickly got frightened and ditched her. I just can't pull this one off. It used to make me blush playing her!

The other male characters in the game were literally fighting each other to offer tributes to her. Wow.

LONG DESC:
You see before you a svelte, dark-skinned woman with a captivating presence. She holds her head high with an air of self-assurance, and wears her tightly curled black hair cropped close to her finely sculpted head. An indigo sheen clings to her dark skin like an aura as she moves her slender well-toned body with a mesmerising grace that is at the same time delicate and commanding. Her scintillating dark blue eyes scans the surroundings every now and then with the capricious restlessness of the sea before a storm.

NAME:
The word 'Nuwa', in the barbarian's tongue is the name for the shadows of the moonlight upon the waves of the night sea. Normally overlooked by the common coast men who did not even have a name for this, the sea-barbarians discern and appreciate the existence of the shadows which shimmering darkness is no less beautiful than that of its luminous counterpart. 'Nuwa' is literally translated as 'Shadowdancer' in the common tongue. (I made this up)

BACKGROUND:
Nuwa was born on a ship to a father who was one of the leaders of a pirate cartel, and mother who was the Zeboim priestess serving the same cartel. Her mother died of an illness before Nuwa could grow up to be a young adult. Since then, Nuwa had followed her father sailing out to the high seas.

She was thrown into an environment dominated by male figures at a young age, but she had always been able to fend for herself among the crews despite being female. Her father was often too busy with his business to take care of her. She learned early to use her femininity and charisma to her advantage. That doesn't mean she was one delicate demure lady however. She enjoyed taking up the occasional jeering man's challenge, proving herself superior in victory, and thus establishing her authority while winning the respect of the men.

She has spent the majority of her childhood and youth in the sea, sailing between ports and oceans. High spirited and restless, she soon grew hungry for more thrills and decided to leave the cartel and anchor up to shore to explore the more elaborate communities on terra firma.

CHARACTER:
Years of sailing at the high seas have imprinted upon this barbarian woman the temper of the seas, resulting in a temperament that is capricious and excessive. Her moods are quick to change, and when she does, it could swing to the extremes, much like stormy waters throwing everything into a giddy imbalance. At such times, she could create as much awe and fear in people as she could create confusion and distrust.

Naturally endowed with a high charisma, Nuwa has learned since young to use it at her advantage, when she is in the mood, that is. It has proven useful to her many times, allowing her to manipulate into close circles and positions of leadership without using brute force. She enjoys being the center of attention and has a way of swaying masses to her side, making them follow her commands like a school of enthralled fishes.

However, because of her temperamental moods, she often finds it hard to follow through long term plans, and very often abandons them halfway due to a change of mind. That doesn't mean she is unable to lead and plan. She does possess much intelligence and wisdom to make sound plans, and the charima to lead a troop, she only lacks the steadfastness to follow them through personally. Thus she has learned from experience to appoint someone else to follow through her plans while she tries to forget about them herself lest she should itch to make changes.

A thrill seeker, Nuwa's actions often falls into the categories of valiant courage and foolish recklessness, depending on the end results. Like most other proud people, Nuwa seeks to undermine and establish her own self-assurance in a paradox of endless challenges. She appreciates and respects a challenging opponent, while at the same time feeling jealous and contemptous towards the opponent. This love-hate relationship with challenges is perhaps the most prominent driving force in her motivation when she is driven in any single direction at all.

DANCING (or ritual):

1. - alias song1 starts to sing a seamless tune in a strange unknown language. Her voice is fluid and flawless, surreptitiously drawing you into a trance, riding the seamless tune that does not seem to have a beginning or an end.
2. - alias song2 draws you deeper into a trance with her hypnotic voice. You feel your head filled with endless undulating repetitions of echoes, and echoes of echoes; numerous ripples spreading out and dissipating on the surface of your mind.
3. - alias song3 sways her graceful body alluringly to the tune, her dark blue eyes half-closed in a self-absorbed drunkeness as she lifts her arms in mimic of the undulating sea. Each evanescent movement seems spontaneous, and yet at the same time deliberate, disappearing fast like froth before you could sensibly discern it.
4. - alias song4 continues swaying her mesmerising billowy form to the tune, flooding your mind with successive waves of images after images, deafening your senses.
5. - alias song5 ends the song before you realize it. A heavy silence fills the air. You feel as if the weight of the world is suddenly upon you, rendering you breathless.
