Today I went to work very tired as I was stupid and went to bed late, and then Harriet woke up at 6am! At lunch, I had a satisfying chat with Georgie. So happy to find a new best friend! Then in the evening we went to Owen's preschool nursery for his Leaver's ceremony (he's starting school in September), and then as we were too tired to make dinner, we ate at a pub. The children enjoyed themselves, but were tired and full of junk food.
Today I found out that a colleague was going to be made redundant and felt really sad about it. I must have picked up the vibes subconsciously and hence the nightmare about being fired just a few days ago!
Today I had a lie down in the garden while Harriet played by herself mostly. She woke up 4 times in the night the night before, so I was grumpy and tired, but she was very cute.
Today I took Owen to Oxford on the bus again. We spent hours in Waterstones which he really loved, and I got to admire illustrations on children's books while he looked at books by himself there.
Today I didn't sleep very well and had loads of nightmares. In one I was kidnapped by a psychopath and when I finally managed to phone the police, they couldn't help me because I couldn't tell them where I was. In another, I was told by my employers they decided to fire me as I wasn't making enough profit for them. As I was arguing my case in anger, a pickpocket stole my phone. When I finally woke up, I had a migraine, and then later Harriet was ill and threw up all afternoon. Still shaken by the dream where I was fired. I realised how much I loved my job and really don't want to lose it. I'd better work harder next week. So no, I didn't have a nice day today!
Today we packed up, drove, and arrived home in the Cotswolds again.
Today it was misty early on, so we went to the beach late, and then had a lovely dinner by the beach at Saunton Sands beachside grill.
Today we went to the beach at Croyde made a massive tray bake in the evening.
Today we had a lovely dinner of curry by the sea at Barricane beach. Everyone was happy.
Today went to the seaside at Woolacombe again and Harriet and Owen liked sitting in a hole dug in the sand, filled with seawater. In the evening, Peter and I had a rare night out at the pub without the kids.
Today was a glorious sunny day and we had sea view at our holiday cottage. We went to the seaside with grandparents and their friend, Charlotte, and Owen had a great time playing with Alex, Charlotte's grandson.
Today was my birthday! I spent the day in a car to Devon for our holiday, and then was out of action with migraine all evening!
Today we stayed home to relax all day. Owen watched Ice Age 3 on NowTV. Harriet loved the baby dinosaurs in the film. In the evening I did some housekeeping for my art supplies such as refilling my watercolour pans, cleaning my pens, and doing swatches to get to know my colours better.
Today I went to the GP and worked from home.
Today was another hot day. I managed to book hot tub for the Wilderness Festival!
Today Peter was ill. Harriet was also poorly and very angry and woke up all night so I only got to sleep at 4am!
Today I went to help out at Owen's preschool for the first time! It was quite interesting though I was very nervous initially. Didn't shout at any kids, including Owen. Peter took Harriet to the hospital for some routine checkup & tests.
Today Owen had another taster session at his new primary school. So I didn't take him out anywhere. It was still very very hot. We had early dinner, then played in the garden in the evening before bed.
Today we didn't go to Daisy's BBQ. I was busy organising things for the family and doing online shopping for children's clothes, grocery etc. I also started the Sktchy subscription just to try it out, and maybe I am just a little hooked.
Today we went to Witney to do shopping etc. We forgot Harriet's shoes so she was walking around barefooted. We then bought her some sandals. She threw a tantrum about wanting a toy tiger in the charity shop. Though we almost never give in to demands in a shop, we got it for her. Hope she won't remember this tactic next time.
